"Florida must address the issues of renewable energy and energy independence for the long-term. We can’t afford another Deepwater Horizon catastrophe. In May 2010, Keith and Representative Rick Kriseman called for a constitutional amendment to ban offshore drilling. Until Florida permanently bans drilling off our shores, it’s only a matter of time before another disaster threatens the lifeblood of our economy: our beaches."

Keith Fitzgerald is a proven ocean advocate and strong voice against offshore drilling. He has already called for a constitutional amendment banning offshore drilling and is continuing his fight to ban it forever. He has also shown his dedication to renewable energy by designing innovative plans to help small business and citizens alike embrace alternative energy. Indeed his plan to fix Florida’s economy is actually based on focusing on and developing these forms of energy for use here and for export.
