Representative Morris is the second ranking member of the Washington Assembly and the speaker pro tem. His long history of environmental protection makes him a proven advocate for the oceans and environment as a whole. He also currently sits on five committees, including the committee on ecology and parks, where he focuses on, among other things, oil spill prevention, aquatic lands protection, climate change and solid waste management. He has worked hard to protect Florida’s waters by raising money and sponsoring bills such as HB 1747- "Reducing climate pollution in the built environment" and HB 3227- "Protecting the water quality in Hood Canal". This history of environmental dedication and his vast experience make him a strong ally for the environment.
