Leadership: Ed Fielding recognizes the importance of a healthy environment. He promises he will fight against costly urban sprawl. He fought against the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Amendment that the commission majority voted for. This sprawl amendment will result in more development in rural agricultural land and will result in tax increases for existing residents and businesses to pay for the new services. Urban sprawl can potentially diminsh important habitats for biodiversity.
