Leadership: Brain Blake is a great candidate on environmental issues. One important issue he supports includes improving water ways by addressing derelict crab pots. Thousands of crab pots are lost each year, needlessly killing marine life and damaging the ecosystem. He also is in support of a bill to streamline climate reporting. As part of the state’s green house gas reduction strategy large emitters are required to report exactly how much green house gases they are releasing into the atmosphere. Furthermore, Blake is an avid advocate for legislation that phases out copper brake pads that end up in the Puget Sound.
