"A resident of the Marina del Rey and South Bay area of Los Angeles for nearly twenty years, Betsy is active in local grassroots groups promoting green and responsible development in her neighborhood."
Betsy Butler has the potential to be a strong leader and powerful voice for environmental issues. She has gained experience in politics while acting as a community liaison to Lt. Governor McCarthy, coordinating public policy outreach for many issues including environmental protection. Her expertise has also been recognized from the highest of positions as she has served in the Clinton administration at the department of commerce in the International Trade Administration. Her work with CLCV and Environmental Defense Fund on issues like water conservation and habitat protection are proof again of the necessary dedication to the environment she will present in the assembly.
